MY COMMISSIONED ART WORK About thirty-five years ago I developed an interest in art and began trying my hand at different mediums such as oil, acrylics, pen/ink and watercolor. I studied with several teachers only to realize I needed to develop my own personal style and that would come through trial and error. Some of my best works have been accidents. Over the years I have come to realize that art is really in the eye of the beholder. Art is what you say it is. It is a personal reflection of one’s inner creativity and personal taste. It has taken me many years to finally decide to call myself an artist. My passion for painting horses has evolved with my love for the Gypsy Horse. There isn’t a more magical and beautiful horse to paint. Capturing their color, flowing mane, tail and feather on canvas is truly a breathtaking experience. Before I am finished with one painting I am already looking forward to the next. As a long time Quarter Horse breeder, I also do paintings of this wonderful breed.
